Mounting Instructions
The hole size of diamond blade must correspond to the diameter of machine in use.
Arrow on the blade shows direction of rotation. The blade always has to be mounted on a flange, but never on a thread. The flanges have to be free of scratches and ridges, and also clean (no rust or dirt).
Peripheral Speed (m/s)
Peripheral speed has to be chosen in accordance with hardness and abrasiveness of materials to be cut. At too high speed, the blade gets blunted. At too low speed, the blade gets glazed over.
There are the following peripheral speeds for:
20 – 25 m/s for homogeneous and hard material; such as: flintstone, Al oxide,
porcelain, glass 25 – 40 m/s for medium hard and porous material; such as: sandstone, clay-slate, marble, concrete, artificial stone
When dry cutting, maximum peripheral speed of 80 m/s should never be exceeded.
The instructions of machine manufacturer are to be followed when wet cutting.
Cooling
When dry cutting, diamond blade has to be cooled down for 10 seconds after 20 seconds of cutting.
When wet cutting, appropriate quantity of coolant is necessary. Abrasive mud must be washed out of the cut. The holes for coolant have to be placed the way that the blade directs coolant straight to the cut.
Sharpening
Cut into silicon dresser twice or three-times to sharpen the blade. For sharpening, soft brick or sandstone could also be used.
Warning
1. Diamond blades can be used for straight cuts only. Cutting of curves could cause cracks on segments. The segments could be broken off and could cause injuries.
2. Damaged blades shouldn't be used.
3. Damaged, improper mounted or incorrectly used blades could hurt the user and damage the material or machine.
4. Goggles have to be used, and protection mask is highly recommended.
5. When cutting flintstones dust extraction is recommended.
6. Before use, check safety devices of the machine.
